contest OF Graphical Humor: "NOT smoking in order to live longer AND BETTER"
"Buena Salud" magazine and Exposalud 2006 invite all graphical humorists worldwide to participate in the contest "Not smoking in order to live longer and Better".

Contest rules:
Contest OF GRAPHICAL HUMOR "LAUGHTER IS HEALTH"
The objective of the contest is to emphasize the importance of graphical humor in the public health prevention, especially in the fulfillment of the Tobacco Control Act, approved in September 2005, by the Legislature of the City of Buenos Aires. Graphical humor is a genre of journalism that lends itself well to social commitment, inspiring the reflection and the action. This is a call to humorously raise awareness of a smoke free possibility, healthy, non-smoking future without victims of second-hand smoke.
Bases of the Contest:
Organizer: Buena Salud Magazine, for Exposalud 2006, with the auspice of the Legislature of the City of Buenos Aires.
Subject of the Contest: Not smoking in order to live longer and better.
Who participate? Graphical humorists of all nationalities will be able to participate, without age limits.
Amount of pieces: Each participant will be able to send up to two (2) pieces.
Characteristics of the original work: The work will have to be an unpublished original art. (Neither CDs nor copies will be accepted)
Each work will have a unique dimension of A4 210x297 or A3 297x420; mounted in cardboard. The technique to use is free. Color or Black and white
Deadline: The original works have to be sent by mail or to be given until 30th June 2006, in

San Juan 449, cp 1147, City of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The author will have to send his work with a biography or curriculum vitae (no more than 1000 characters), printed in A4 format and accompanied by a photo-picture (12x9 or similar).
Of the juries: The jury will be integrated by: Oskar Blotta (president), Publishing Consultant of Buena Salud magazine, and the recognized graphical humorists, Andrés Cascioli, Crist and Doctor W. S. de la Vega, specialist in allergy and clinical immunology and member of the Permanent Advisers of Buena Salud magazine.
The jury will fail 20th August, 2006. The opinion of the jury will be unappealable.
Prizes: The first prize will have an allocation of u$s 1500, Two second u$s500 prizes each. The jury will be able to declare up to two special mentions.
Catalogue: The jury will choose at least 1 (one) work of each participant to comprise the catalogue of the exhibition.
Exhibition: The selection and show of the art works will be exhibited in Exposalud 2006 from 23rd August up to the closing day, 26th August, 2006. At 6 PM, 26th August, in a special event the jury will fail and deliver prizes.
Rights and obligations: All participants of the graphical humor contest accept and will opportunely sign the following rules:
1) Deadline for the delivery of works: 30th June 2006, up to 6 PM. All works sent through post office will have to certify the date and reception time in

2) The original works will not be given back under any circumstances.
3) The author yields the rights of exhibition of the sent works as well as the ones published in the Catalogue of the Contest.
4) The failure of the jury is unappealable.
The winners accept to yield their rights over the winning works for their publication in Buena Salud Magazine, as well as in posters, banners of Internet or Web pages, for their diffusion.
