Nedal Hashem
A Palestinian cartoonist born in Syria in 1972, I hold the Jordanian nationality, the place where I reside in and belong to, just as I belong to Palestine. Whereas, I feel the harmony with these two affiliations, despite of those who are trying to infect this concept.
I studied electrical engineering; however, the first salary I received was against my work as a political cartoonist in a Jordanian newspaper.
At that time, I came to the conviction that I cannot rely on the editor opinion of my works and his mood as a source of my income, Then I departed to UAE, then I moved away from cartoons for more than four years, after which I returned to Jordan I passed back to political cartoons in a moment of effervescence, but I have not found at that time an Arabian website specialized in the political cartoons. Therefore, it was my motivation to establish the “Arab Cartoons House” website, at www.arabcartoon.net
